I have been drawing people for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until 2021 that I chose to undertake an art course focussing on queer bodies and life drawing with Wynn McKeon, that I realised how much I loved it.
Since then, I now run two life drawing classes, one online and one in-person in Durham, and have produced a large body of work focussed on queer, trans, and disabled bodies, and the human form more generally. You can see an example of this at the link here, which is the online version of my 2024 solo exhibition, Queer Bodies Are Holy.
Here’s a small selection of my life drawing portfolio from 2021 to the present day.

I create artwork from life in a range of media including oil pastels, paint markers, biro, pencil, ink, and acrylic paint. I also use my knowledge and understanding of the human form to create patterns and ideas for my leatherworking practice.
